JUUL is an e-cigarette product containing the highly addictive chemical called Nicotine.  This e-cig has been extremely popular among teenagers.

The potential defendants have included Altria and Philip Morris, makers of Marlboro cigarettes as they are connected with JUUL by having bought over 1/3 of the company in 2018.

The main issue with JUUL is the marketing, and the aggressive advertising to teens.  Such advertising has allegedly cause the serious effects and harms as may be listed in the lawsuit filings.  Among the harms include:

  • Seizures
  • Lung Damage
  • Strokes

There are currently well over 700 lawsuits filed in the MDL litigation arena, attempting to settle and resolve these cases if at all possible.
